Dr Adam Gordon
B.V.Sc (Hons), M.V.S., CMAVA – Owner & Principal Veterinarian
Adam first joined Maroubra Veterinary Hospital in 1991 and bought the practice in 1996 building it to be one of the most highly respected practices in the Eastern Suburbs.
Adam, our Principal Veterinarian and practice owner, graduated from the University of Sydney in 1990 with Honours. He subsequently completed a Masters Degree in Veterinary Studies from Murdoch University in 2002. He has also completed further studies in orthopaedic surgery, cruciate ligament surgery, diagnostic ultrasound and advanced echocardiography.
Adam has a passion for surgery as well as diagnosis and treatment of complex medical problems. He also enjoys performing diagnostic ultrasound including echocardiography and cardiology. Adam is also dedicated to continuing professional development and attends multiple veterinary conferences and workshops every year both in Australia and overseas. He is also a contributor to various veterinary periodicals.
Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, rugby union and cricket.
He is also Dad to a Red Burmese cat called ‘Loki’ and a Lop Eared Rabbit called ‘Lucy’.
In 2019, Adam was awarded the Australia Day ‘Community Service Award’ for the local area.

Dr Polina Tan
B.V.Sc. (Hons), M.V.S. – Veterinarian
Polina graduated from Sydney University with Honors in 2000 and has worked previously in small animal practices across the U.K as well as Sydney, Australia.
Polina joined the team here at MVH in early 2007 after returning from living and working overseas and continues to enjoy the challenge of all aspects veterinary medicine and surgery.
She completed a Masters of Veterinary Studies in 2012 as well as further studies in ultrasound, dermatology and other specialised fields.
Outside of work, Polina loves to run with her dog ‘Gypsy’.
Dr Justine Moses
B.V.Sc. (Hons) – Veterinarian
Justine graduated from Sydney University with first-class Honors in 1998.
Her career began in mixed practice, on the South Coast of NSW and then in the U.K. Upon her return to Sydney, she commenced working with MVH where she has worked ever since.
She loves all aspects of her job, especially the satisfaction of caring and helping a very sick pet and see the return home happy and recovering to their family. Justine loves working with our clients as well as their furry friends.
Outside of work, Justine is a married Mum of 3 children with two family pets, ‘Mr Waddy’ a Golden Retriever dog and ‘Biscuit’ the cat.
Dr Annabelle Fulmer
B.Sc. (Hons), B.V.Sc. (Hons) – Veterinarian
Annabelle graduated from the University of Sydney with first class honours in 2012. She originally studied in New Zealand, completing a Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology in 2006 before moving permanently to Australia. Annabelle first started work at Maroubra Veterinary Hospital as a veterinary nurse in 2007 and made the transition to veterinarian in 2012.
She has since completed a small animal rotating internship at the University of Sydney expanding her skills, knowledge and experience. She is currently studying a Masters in Veterinary Medicine through Massey University. Annabelle enjoys all aspects of general practice and always strives for a positive outcome through best practice and patient care.
When not at work, Annabelle enjoys dancing, hiking, spending time with friends and looking after her rescue dog ‘Anna’ and two cats, ‘Alby’ and ‘Squid’.
Dr James De Lucia
B.V.Sc – Veterinarian
James has loved animals from a very early age and therefore it was an easy decision for him to pursue a career as a veterinarian.
James graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor in Veterinary Science in 2016 and joined the Maroubra Veterinary Hospital team in December 2016. He has a special interest in small animal surgery and loves seeing relationships develop between owners and their pets. He also has a few small animals of his own including two snakes, two lizards, a turtle and a lorikeet.
Outside of work James enjoys the outdoors, surfing at Maroubra beach, caring for his pets and catching up with friends.
Elsha is our longest standing employee. She commenced working at Maroubra Veterinary Hospital in 1988 as a weekend animal attendant, and started full time work in 1994.
Elsha has completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and Advanced Veterinary Nursing. Elsha is also currently doing a leadership program with the Lincoln Institute.
Outside of work Elsha is a married mum of 2 children who loves dancing, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Her fur babies are Pugsley the Pugalier, Chief the Bull Mastiff and a Maroubra Vet Hospital rescue kitten called Spinx.
Head Veterinary Nurse
Ana graduated from Macquarie University with a degree in Bachelor Arts with a Major in Japanese studies. Her love for animals was her main passion and led her to veterinary nursing, having completed as well a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
She joined our team here at Maroubra Veterinary Hospital first as a kennel hand in 2006 and shortly after as a Veterinary Nurse.
Her furry friend is a black cat called ‘Drogo’ whom has a stubborn yet independent personality but she loves him nonetheless.
In her spare time, Ana loves to read books and manga, watching movies, listening to music, hiking and travelling – Japan being a firm favourite.
Jen commenced with Maroubra Veterinary Hospital in 1993 – yes over 25 years ago!
Jen has qualifications in animal attending, nursing and advanced nursing.
Although she loves veterinary nursing, you will also find Jen out front smiling and chatting to our clients and their furry friends.
Jen’s own furry companion is a Shih-Tzu X Poodle called ‘Patch’.
Chantelle first started with our hospital as a volunteer in January 2015 and soon became a full-time team member as of May 2016.
She loves grooming and making our furry clients look their best!
She has a pet rabbit called ‘Kosmita’ and a hand-reared rescue cat called ‘MaryJane’.
Chantelle also has a Certificate IV qualification in Veterinary Nursing.
Chloe first started working at Maroubra Veterinary Hospital in early 2017 as a weekend animal attendant. She is currently completing a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
When not at work Chloe enjoys spending time with her family and friends and looking after her very naughty Labradoodle called ‘Alfie’.
