Dr Adam Gordon
B.V.Sc (Hons), M.V.S., CMAVA – Owner & Principal Veterinarian
Adam first joined Maroubra Veterinary Hospital in 1991 and bought the practice in 1996 building it to be one of the most highly respected practices in the Eastern Suburbs.
Adam, our Principal Veterinarian and practice owner, graduated from the University of Sydney in 1990 with Honours. He subsequently completed a Masters Degree in Veterinary Studies from Murdoch University in 2002. He has also completed further studies in orthopaedic surgery, cruciate ligament surgery, diagnostic ultrasound and advanced echocardiography.
Adam has a passion for surgery as well as diagnosis and treatment of complex medical problems. He also enjoys performing diagnostic ultrasound including echocardiography and cardiology. Adam is also dedicated to continuing professional development and attends multiple veterinary conferences and workshops every year both in Australia and overseas. He is also a contributor to various veterinary periodicals.
Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, rugby union and cricket.
He is also Dad to a Bichon Frise called ‘Leo’, a Lop Eared Rabbit called ‘Lucy’, a MVH rescue cat ‘Layla’ and a chocolate Burmese kitten called Lord Louie.
In 2019, Adam was awarded the Australia Day ‘Community Service Award’ for the local area and the MVH practice was a Finalist in the Randwick area Local Business Awards.

Dr Justine Moses
B.V.Sc. (Hons) – Veterinarian
Justine graduated from Sydney University with first-class Honors in 1998.
Her career began in mixed practice, on the South Coast of NSW and then in the U.K. Upon her return to Sydney, she commenced working with MVH where she has worked ever since.
She loves all aspects of her job, especially the satisfaction of caring and helping a very sick pet and see the return home happy and recovering to their family. Justine loves working with our clients as well as their furry friends.
Outside of work, Justine is a married Mum of 3 children with two family pets, ‘Mr Waddy’ a Golden Retriever dog and ‘Biscuit’ the cat.
Dr Annabelle Fulmer
B.Sc. (Hons), B.V.Sc. (Hons) – Veterinarian
Annabelle graduated from the University of Sydney with first class honours in 2012. She originally studied in New Zealand, completing a Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology in 2006 before moving permanently to Australia. Annabelle first started work at Maroubra Veterinary Hospital as a veterinary nurse in 2007 and made the transition to veterinarian in 2012.
She has since completed a small animal rotating internship at the University of Sydney expanding her skills, knowledge and experience. She is currently studying a Masters in Veterinary Medicine through Massey University. Annabelle enjoys all aspects of general practice and always strives for a positive outcome through best practice and patient care.
When not at work, Annabelle enjoys dancing, hiking, spending time with friends and looking after her rescue dog ‘Pablo’ and two cats, ‘Alby’ and ‘Squid’.
Dr James De Lucia
B.V.Sc – Veterinarian
James has loved animals from a very early age and therefore it was an easy decision for him to pursue a career as a veterinarian.
James graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor in Veterinary Science in 2016 and joined the Maroubra Veterinary Hospital team in December 2016. He has a special interest in small animal surgery and loves seeing relationships develop between owners and their pets. He also has a few small animals of his own including two snakes, two lizards, a turtle and a lorikeet.
Outside of work James enjoys the outdoors, surfing at Maroubra beach, caring for his pets and catching up with friends.
Dr Melina Tsepetzis
BVetBiol, DVM – Veterinarian
Melina is a graduate of the University of Sydney, having completed a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2020, and prior to this, a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology in 2016. Melina first came to Maroubra Veterinary Hospital as a vet student during her student placements in 2018 and has now joined the MVH team as a veterinarian.
Melina has a passion for all aspects of small animal general practice. Her priority is to consistently provide quality patient care whilst practicing evidenced based medicine with all her patients. She believes you must work as a team with your client to achieve what’s in the best interest of the patient and there’s nothing better than accomplishing combined client and patient satisfaction.
Outside of work, Melina enjoys going on outdoor adventures, painting, hanging out with her loved ones and looking after her best-friend Charlie, who is a handsome 13-year-old King Charles Cavalier cross Bichon Frise.
Elsha is our longest standing employee. She commenced working at Maroubra Veterinary Hospital in 1988 as a weekend animal attendant, and started full time work in 1994.
Elsha has completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and Advanced Veterinary Nursing. Elsha is also currently doing a leadership program with the Lincoln Institute.
Outside of work Elsha is a married mum of 2 children who loves dancing, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Her fur babies are ‘Pugsley’ the Pugalier, ‘Chief’ the Bull Mastiff and a Maroubra Vet Hospital rescue kitten called ‘Spinx’.
Head Veterinary Nurse
Chloe first started working at Maroubra Veterinary Hospital in early 2017 as a weekend animal attendant. She holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
When not at work Chloe enjoys spending time with her family and friends and looking after her very naughty Labradoodle called ‘Alfie’.
Senior Veterinary Nurse
Ana graduated from Macquarie University with a degree in Bachelor Arts with a Major in Japanese studies. Her love for animals was her main passion and led her to veterinary nursing, having completed as well a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
She joined our team here at Maroubra Veterinary Hospital first as a kennel hand in 2006 and shortly after as a Veterinary Nurse.
Her furry friend is a black cat called ‘Drogo’ whom has a stubborn yet independent personality but she loves him nonetheless.
In her spare time, Ana loves to read books and manga, watching movies, listening to music, hiking and travelling – Japan being a firm favourite.
Jen commenced with Maroubra Veterinary Hospital in 1993 – yes over 25 years ago!
Jen has qualifications in animal attending, nursing and advanced nursing.
Although she loves veterinary nursing, you will also find Jen out front smiling and chatting to our clients and their furry friends.
Jen’s own furry companion is a Shih-Tzu X Poodle called ‘Patch’.
Leah started at Maroubra veterinary hospital as a weekend animal attendant in 2016 and started full time in 2019. Leah is currently studying her cert 4 nursing at TAFE.
In her spare time Leah loves spending time at the beach with her Dingo cross Arlo. Leah also has a MVH rescue cat called Leo.
Ari has been in Australia for 5 years and is enjoying every minute of it.
After finishing her certificate IV in veterinary nursing, she joined Maroubra Vet Hospital. Ari loves taking recue animals’ home when needed and does a lot of hand rearing of kittens that we adopt out, she is a great foster mum.
When not at work Ari loves reading, eating, and travelling with her fiancé.
Zoe started at Maroubra Veterinary Hospital in 2020. Zoe has completed her Cert 3 in captive animals and is looking to enrol in veterinary nursing soon. Zoe previously enjoyed doing some volunteer work at the Wildlife Sydney Zoo.
Zoe enjoys music, art and sunbaking with her bearded dragon. Zoe also has a Mastiff X called Tyzac, a budgie called Lulu and Calypso the yabbie.
Ilona has recently joined our team; she is half French and Australian and graduated from the international French school of Sydney this year.
Ilona will be starting her animal studies certificate at TAFE early next year.
In her free time Ilona loves traveling, socialising, and exploring new places.
